Preparation
Such a competition requires months of preparation—equipment checks and qualifying races. The first order of business, of course, is to make sure that all equipment on the boat is fully checked and all modifications fully validated. Most of the new modifications are issued from experience gathered during the two years of racing done on the boat. They have been implemented during wintertime where the boat was out of the water. Next come the qualifying races and final equipment tests and adjustments before the race begins on September 22nd.
